Miley Ray Cyrus's real name was Destiny Hope Cyrus. Born on November 23rd 1992 in Franklin Tennessee the state of Tennessee, she was born at Thompson's Station Tennessee by Tish Cyrus. There are five siblings in her family: 2 half brothers one half sister, and one younger brother and sister. The family named her Miley as she was a great hope for their future. Her nickname from childhood, Smiley, due to her cheerful disposition, was eventually shortened to Miley. Her paternal great-grandfather was Democratic politician Ron Cyrus. Cyrus began her education at Heritage Elementary School located in Tennessee. At the age of eight, her family moved into Toronto, Canada, where Cyrus her dad Billy Ray took a role in the TV drama Doc (2001). Around this time that Cyrus realized she was interested in learning to act too. Her father played her in the film, Doc (2001), in the first part of the film. She also scored a small performance in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). Cyrus played on Hannah Montana (2006) (a Disney show that follows a teenager woman who lives a double life as a singer) in the role of Hannah Montana, who is the protagonist. The actress was joined by her father once more. The show would go on to become a massive success. Hit records, tours that were sold out and agreements with merchandise companies were also signed. Cyrus soon became an instant hit in the eyes of young people. After the success of Hannah Montana 2006, Cyrus moved into other role. Cyrus played Ronnie Miller and Lola alongside Demi Moore in The Last Song 2010 and LOL 2012.
